The guys and gals over here at paragon helped me tremendously! I took a job where I had to install the center balusters on a spiral staircase that a different contractor had installed two years ago. I was impressed with the quality of the stairs. Paragon did not scrimp on the metal used for the platforms, poles and treads. They are sturdier than some other spiral stairs that I have used, and that was a big plus. they are quite solid to walk on and should be quite...durable. I'm very pleased with them.
The installation instructions were a little sparse in detail but an experienced DIY'er can follow them. However, the aluminum handrail instructions are difficult to follow. There are videos available online (just scan the QR codes on the stair parts) and these are essential for the aluminum handrail installation.
The instructions don't have torque values for the bolts or the set screws, so you will need to be careful with them.
Getting the balusters to be plumb takes a little patience, so be careful during that part of the installation.

Took a couple weeks to do most of the work myself but, overall, everything went well. Had to Google some things to resolve a few little issues encountered but directions were adequate for the most part. Everything arrived intact and all parts were accounted for and in good...shape when shipment arrived. Our sale rep, Brian, was very thorough and helpful in the planning process and made the experience a positive one. Thanks Brian! If it's not clear in the description, the smaller balusters must be cut to...length, this requires the ability to safely and accurately cut metal.

By and large the installation went well, the only trouble we had was the machining of the couplings to tie the center column together. The threads...were extremely tight and it required a pipe wrench and vise that could handle 3" pipe to tighten.read more

We were going to go to Home Depot to purchase our spiral stairs because of the price difference but decided to talk to Paragon first before we our decision. So glad we did. What a difference. Danielle at Paragon talk with us in length about our project and no question was...too simple or too complicated to ask that she couldn’t answer for us. She sent us pictures and diagrams that left us feeling very comfortable in making a decision on exactly what we wanted. In addition, we ended up paying less than the Home Depot price because she found that our circumstance didn’t require some of the extra stuff that was just included in what Home Depot offered. We also feel better that Paragon’s products are American made and that we can call with any questions and have someone that can talk us through our project if needed.

Customer service when I had a question about the hole size in the floor was...very helpful. Installation was great. It took a little bit to get our rhythm with leveling and aligning the stairs, but after figuring it out, it was smooth and easy. My brother in law was the only help I used and it was easy. I love my new space saving access to the upper loft of my barn/workshop!

The stairs are about half installed and I would buy from Paragon again but, there are a few things that we did wrong due to somewhat overly generic instructions and, I ended up having to do a lot of the install myself where typically the Hispanic guys I have hired would do this....No instructions in Spanish however. That would make a big difference. The product overall feels pretty substantial and we will buy more of these in the future.read more

I dealt with Brian Albany. So the process took a year but my fault as I spoke with him 9 months previous and designed the steps and had it all ready but I had a life hiccup (flooding) and it held me up. He reached out a few times in the 9 months. However it wasn't shortly after...he reached out the last time I finished the deal. 2 mirrored spiral stairs were sent from my home state of PA to Texas. Got here before our estimated delivery date and there great quality and we're not to bad to assemble. 1st one you learned and 2nd set was easy. I recommend using these guys and Brian for any of your indoor or out door stairs!read more
