The width of your stair will determine the width of your step and clear walking path. Choose a width that supplies the walking space you need for optimum comfort while still fitting within your space.

Height

Stringers are custom cut to match the exact height dimensions of your project.

Finish

If your stair is going indoors, select Steel. If your stair is going outdoors, select Galvanized.

Tread Type

Select from smooth or textured tread options depending on your traction needs. Smooth is great for indoors, but for outdoors you may consider something with more grip.

Tread Profile

The tread profile is the vertical piece between step surfaces. The shape of this piece offers a great chance to customize your look.

Tread Covering

Select the tread covering that best suits your needs, whether smooth for indoors or textured for outdoor slip-resistance.

Handrail Type

Vinyl is more affordable and it is a very sturdy PVC tubing. There is a small up-charge for aluminum but meets all building code requirements.

Number of Handrails

We offer 0, 1, or 2 handrails. Choose according to personal safety and code needs.

Number of Platform Rails

Platform rails sit at the top of your stair and prevent you from falling off. If your stair is going up against a wall select “1”. If your spiral is not going up against a wall select “2” to ensure that your stair will have 2 platform rails.

Center Balusters

Balusters are the “spindles” or “pickets”. Center balusters sit in the middle of the tread (the steps) and provide additional safety on your stair.

Powder coating protects the surface of your stair and offers a chance to create a sharp look. Black and white are our most popular options, but more custom colors are also available.
