Addy, the owner of three cabin rentals in Ely, Minnesota, is always looking for ways to improve her rental properties, both functionally and aesthetically. Her current focus has been on improving the Aurora Modern Cabin so that more renters can enjoy the space as much as she does.
Addy added 232 square feet to her cabin!
The Challenge
With a main level footprint of only 464 square feet in her tiny modern cabin, usable space was limited for Addy. This tasked her with researching ways to up the square footage of her cabin to be able to accommodate more people so that couples as well as families could enjoy the cabin. After a referral from a friend, Addy landed on installing a Paragon spiral staircase that would allow guest access to a loft above the lower living space.
The Process

The Staircase Design
Addy wanted a spiral stair that could reach her loft without taking up too much space and fit into her modern aesthetic. The Results

This enabled her to add 232 square feet of usable living space for her guests to enjoy in the form of a loft. This allowed her to offer an additional sleeping space for families who rent, or a cozy relaxation area for couples or solo travelers. Many guests were quick to mention the new spiral staircase and the loft as their favorite place to relax in the whole cabin!
